The alternative, I’d suggest, would be to pay for better PVR software. I had similar problems with using the Windows Media Centre in Vista – found all the channels but only 4 would work. Picture quality in Linux beats the windows bundled software.

I would try installing the stick from another USB port in the following way: The standard installer worked for me too using Vista compatibility mode, starting from the Total Media installer. Those drivers didn’t svb-t TaiLZ I get the same error as before using the same install procedures.

Plugging into a roof antenna making a mockery of portability distinctly improves reception in XP – no such luck with Vista. Lamptron FC SE fan controller.
In our house we needed to gang together two RF attenuators a 12dB and a 6dB before the stick would work. Drivers are easy enough to install in XP, but rather hit-and-miss in Vista.
Still it’s better than any of the Hauppauge software I frdecom used in the past. All times freecom GMT. I have not been able to get the thing working and searching on the web it seems a lot of people have had problems with these sticks.

Try looking at some of the information on this site: Plug stick in, system sees it freefom then ‘unknown device’. Where is the XP like update?
In device manager it shows as ‘unknown device’.
