Thanks for marking this as the answer. It was fine for a few years.. When opening camera, a popup saying “Something went wrong” appears. Ensure you select the correct version ie 32 bit or 64 bit. In my case I selected Windows 7 64 bit as that was my original installation. Right Click and Left Click “Properties”.

I’ve spent more hours than I care to contemplate trying to sort this out with a PC-illiterate parent in Africa on the end of a slow internet connection. Is it a Windows issue? Did this solve your problem? The ASUS tech support page has a number of drivers for the various cameras that might have been installed in the laptop.
I’ve never heard of this type of problem. Sorry, but for some old laptops, the win 7 drivers are not compatible zzurewave win 10 Idem with the others made for Vista.
You will need Admin access to update the drivers. It seems everything is money, money, and more money. I rest my case now. Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.
My browser blocks access to that site. I installed the Windows 10 preview recently. Apologies to those who already know all this stuff but there are obviously a few people in this thread who lack experience in searching for and installing drivers.
