The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door is a special crossover episode The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Codename: Kids Next Door that aired on . They charge each other, and the samurai's sword meets the reaper's scythe. Overview. In the crossover with The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Billy wears his dad's lucky pants but accidentally gets Grim's scythe into it and can't get it. Grim breaks the fourth wall in this episode. The first was in Big Boogey Adventure, where she was the replacement Grim Reaper until Grim was able to get his job back.
Numbuh 1 mentions that it is Sunday when these events occur, giving some explanation as to why all the children were out and about instead of in school. Numbuh 5 was shown to be the most alarmed when the Delightful Reaper assimilated Numbuh 2. Her reaction to what happened after he was freed was not shown It is revealed that Eddy apparently knows about the KND, despite not meeting them. The crossover was made since Tom and Maxwell were good friends and worked on each others' shows.
Both of the distinctive animation styles were intact but some of the KND aspects such as the ground shaking when someone yells are implied more. Billy is responsible for the delightful Reaper's creation and yet he wasn't apprehended like Mandy. This is the first Kids Next Door episode where someone breaks the fourth wall.
Goofs At one point, the rest of the Delightful Reaper says to Billy "I wish I'd never assimilated you in the first place! That's the stupidest name that I- Mandy: And not only that, until a cure can be found the KND will be renamed. The Mean Nasty Doggies? The Big Rubber Toilets? DO NOT speak to her mandyness without prior written permisson.

If you say so. The Delightful Reaper starts assimilating everyone on its path Delightful Reaper: Would you stop it! Ugh, I wish I had never assimilated you in the first place! Mandy comes in with M. The pair challenge "Grim" to a limbo contest to save the hamster ; when Grim loses, he becomes Billy and Mandy's newest friend — and by "friend," we mean that he's contractually bound to cater to their every whim.
Grim begrudgingly serves as something of an underworld version of Mary Poppinsthanklessly placating Billy's demands for cheap entertainment and Mandy's schemes for self-profit with his magical scythe while desperately trying to find a way to be rid of the duo for good. Rounding out the show's cast are Irwin, Billy's other best friend and the Token Minority who also has a massive crush on MandySperg The BullyMindy the Alpha BitchHoss Delgadoa supernatural bounty hunter with more brawn than brains, Eris, the goddess of chaos and discord, General Skarr formerly seen in Evil Con Carne who now wants to garden instead of conquering the world, and Nergal, the Sumerian Death God who lives in Earth's molten core and just wants to be friends with everyone, really.
This show was the winner of the first Big Pick, a contest where viewers got to vote what pilot would be greenlit to be the next Cartoon Cartoon. This early version of the show put more emphasis on the "horror" part of horror comedy, becoming the more goofy and comedic but still pretty dark The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy when the two shows were separated into their own series.

Also used for a quick one-off gag when Grim was trying to use his magic to fix Billy's eyesight, Grim and Mandy appear in his eyes in an anime style. Somehow, this includes speaking Japanese. Mandy tends to give these to Billy, sometimes because he says or does something stupid and occasionally for no reason at all.
A trademark of the Booty Heads is a two-handed version of this trope. After the simultaneous double slap, the victim is left with red swollen cheeks and a submissive attitude to the aggressors. As Skarr is talking down to everyone, he doesn't notice that the statue is extending up into space, where he suffocates and explodes. Beware the Silly Ones: Billy is often the dumbest one on the show, but he has been shown to have bouts of psychotic rage that scares even Mandy.
